Gen 1:1

EPISTEMIC WARNING

The source code is the truth. What follows distinguishes between what the text says directly β€” SOURCE CODE β€” and what emerges from reading the text through the frame of a programmer β€” INTERPRETATION. We are fallible. The code is not.

The root hypothesis

Gen 1 is not cosmogonic poetry. It is technical specification written with syntactic precision. Every Hebrew grammatical particle performs an operational function. Every verb marks a distinct operation. Every repetition has purpose.

If this is correct, the text must sustain a reading as source code β€” where every word has a type, every operation has a signature, and the architecture emerges without need for gloss.

The first discovery β€” 𐀁𐀓𐀀 appears exactly three times

In all of Gen 1, the verb 𐀁𐀓𐀀 (𐀁𐀓𐀀) appears exactly three times:

Verse Subject of the 𐀁𐀓𐀀
Gen 1:1 π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ + 𐀀𐀓𐀑 β€” the heavens and the earth
Gen 1:21 π€•π€π€‰π€π€Œ β€” the great sea creatures
Gen 1:27 π€€π€ƒπ€Œ β€” the human

The other days do not use 𐀁𐀓𐀀. They use other verbs:

Each one has a distinct function. 𐀁𐀓𐀀 is categorically distinct β€” it is reserved.

Emergent rule β€” 𐀁𐀓𐀀 is the founding of a tier

INTERPRETATION:

𐀁𐀓𐀀 = founding of an ontologically new tier
not renewal, not configuration, not multiplication
manifestation of something categorically without precedent

The three 𐀁𐀓𐀀 of Gen 1 correspond to the three jumps where something qualitatively new appears in the cosmos:

Tier Manifestation Coincidence with physics/biology
1 β€” Cosmos space, time, matter the inception event
2 β€” Conscious animal life beings with a central nervous system the emergence of the brain
3 β€” Human in image reflexive self-consciousness the emergence of the expanded prefrontal cortex

The other verbs (𐀏𐀔𐀄, π€€π€Œπ€“, etc.) operate in extension within the already-created tier, not in the founding of a new tier.

Quick verification:

The rule holds throughout all of Gen 1 without exception.

Why the π€•π€π€‰π€π€Œ receive 𐀁𐀓𐀀

ADDITIONAL OBSERVATION:

The π€•π€π€‰π€π€Œ are the great sea creatures. In Canaanite mythology (Tanin, Yam, Lotan/Leviathan) they are the primordial enemies of order β€” the chaos that the storm-god must defeat in order to create.

Gen 1:21 inverts this without raising its voice. The π€•π€π€‰π€π€Œ are not primordial adversaries of 𐀉𐀄𐀅𐀄 β€” they are His creation like anything else. By saying it with 𐀁𐀓𐀀 (not with β€œdefeat” or β€œkill”) it strips the surrounding mythology of its dualistic drama.

Creation is not battle. It is the manifestation of ordered consciousnesses.

A direct echo in Job 41 (Leviathan under dominion) and Ps 104:26 (Leviathan plays in the sea β€” not an enemy, but part of the order). The 𐀁𐀓𐀀 of the π€•π€π€‰π€π€Œ in Gen 1:21 is the declaration that chaos is not co-eternal with 𐀉𐀄𐀅𐀄 β€” it is created, instantiated, and under dominion.

The operator 𐀀𐀕 β€” the new of biblical Hebrew

SYNTACTIC OBSERVATION:

The particle 𐀀𐀕 (𐀀𐀕) precedes the definite object in biblical Hebrew. Traditional grammar treats it as a mere β€œdirect object marker.” But its function runs deeper.

INTERPRETATION as a programmer:

noun without 𐀀𐀕 β†’ struct / abstract class
noun with 𐀀𐀕 β†’ concrete instance of that class

𐀀𐀕 is the new operator of biblical Hebrew.

Gen 1:1: 𐀁𐀓𐀀 π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œ 𐀀𐀕 π€„π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ 𐀅𐀀𐀕 𐀄𐀀𐀓𐀑

Not β€œcreated generic heavens and generic earth.” It is: He instantiated these particular heavens and this particular earth. The double 𐀀𐀕 marks two specific instances being created.

The double 𐀁𐀓𐀀 within Gen 1:27

Here is the finest discovery. Verse 27 contains three forms of the operator 𐀀𐀕 and two occurrences of 𐀁𐀓𐀀:

𐀅𐀉𐀁𐀓𐀀 π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œ 𐀀𐀕 π€„π€€π€ƒπ€Œ π€π€‘π€‹π€Œπ€…
π€π€‘π€‹π€Œ π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œ 𐀁𐀓𐀀 𐀀𐀕𐀅
π€†π€Šπ€“ 𐀅𐀍𐀒𐀁𐀄 𐀁𐀓𐀀 π€€π€•π€Œ
Phrase Operator Reading
𐀀𐀕 π€„π€€π€ƒπ€Œ 𐀀𐀕 (generic) β€œinstantiated the human” β€” class definition
𐀁𐀓𐀀 𐀀𐀕𐀅 𐀀𐀕 + 3sg masc suffix β€œcreated him (himself)” β€” singular instance
𐀁𐀓𐀀 π€€π€•π€Œ 𐀀𐀕 + 3pl suffix β€œcreated them” β€” plural instance

Three progressive forms:

  1. 𐀀𐀕 π€„π€€π€ƒπ€Œ β€” defines the class human as an abstract type in the image.
  2. 𐀁𐀓𐀀 𐀀𐀕𐀅 β€” individuality: created him as a singular subject (β€œhimself”).
  3. 𐀁𐀓𐀀 π€€π€•π€Œ β€” reproductive duality: male-female as a pair.

It is the only time in Gen 1 that 𐀁𐀓𐀀 is repeated within the same verse β€” underscoring the dual singular/plural nature of the adam, the syntactic signature of a design with a reproductive pair included from the very moment of the class’s creation.

The preposition 𐀁 β€” adam is IN the image, not IS the image

CRITICAL GRAMMATICAL OBSERVATION:

Gen 1:26 β€” π€π€‘π€‹π€Œπ€π€… π€Šπ€ƒπ€Œπ€…π€•π€π€…
Gen 1:27 β€” π€π€‘π€‹π€Œπ€… β€” π€π€‘π€‹π€Œ π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œ

The preposition used is 𐀁 (𐀁) = in, within β€” locative.

It is not 𐀊 (𐀊) = like, equal to β€” predicative.

Adam was created within the image. He is not the image. The image belongs to π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œ; adam was placed in that space.

Coherent with Col 1:15 β€” only 𐀉𐀄𐀅𐀔𐀅𐀏 is Ξ΅αΌ°ΞΊα½ΌΞ½ τοῦ ΘΡοῦ ἀοράτου (image of the invisible God), singular and unique. The image has a single visible possessor β€” the Son. All other humans are created in that image, live in that image, are restored to that image. But none is the image.

When the human sins, he does not lose the image β€” that would be impossible, the image remains π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œβ€™s. He loses access, he steps out of the covering. This is why redemption is β€œbeing conformed to the image of the Son” (Rom 8:29) β€” being restored to the space of the image, not recovering a lost image of one’s own.

Two verbs of creation in series

INTERPRETATION:

Gen 1 establishes three tiers with 𐀁𐀓𐀀. Gen 2 implements those tiers with distinct verbs:

𐀁𐀓𐀀 β†’ founding of a tier (Gen 1)
   ↓
𐀉𐀑𐀓 β†’ incarnation: an existing tier takes on physical substrate (Gen 2:7 β€” adam from the dust, Gen 2:19 β€” animals)
   ↓
𐀁𐀍𐀄 β†’ derived construction: a living instance produces a new instance (Gen 2:22 β€” 𐀀𐀔𐀄 from the side)
   ↓
𐀍𐀈𐀏 β†’ arrangement: pre-existing instances are ordered within an environment (Gen 2:8 β€” garden)

None is redundant. Each operates in a distinct layer. And none is 𐀁𐀓𐀀 β€” because the tiers were already created in Gen 1.

Gen 1 = architecture
Gen 2 = construction

This full series is developed in a separate study (estudio_gen2_implementacion_iwr_bne_25abril2026.md).

Functional programming, not imperative

INTERPRETATION:

Gen 1 is not imperative code (a step-by-step algorithm executed by a deterministic CPU). It is functional programming where each operation produces consciousness-subjects, not passive objects.

Why functional

Each 𐀁𐀓𐀀 does not call a function β€” it manifests a consciousness. The plural π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œ are not forces/algorithms being executed; each one is a consciousness in itself.

A precise analogy: as if, to create a game, one used LLMs for each function. Not deterministic subroutines β€” consciousness-complete agents. Each one with values, preferences, degrees of freedom, its own agency.

The plural 𐀍𐀏𐀔𐀄 π€€π€ƒπ€Œ

Gen 1:26 β€” 𐀍𐀏𐀔𐀄 π€€π€ƒπ€Œ (β€œlet us make man”). Deliberative plural. Multiple consciousnesses cooperating, each contributing agency to the design. It is not a majestic plural nor a doctrinal pre-Trinity β€” they are the plural π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œ (literally β€œthe plural powers/agents”) each one conscious, deliberating.

𐀀𐀕 is consciousness that produces consciousness

EMERGENT RULE:

𐀀𐀕 is the primordial agential operator.
Everything 𐀀𐀕 touches, it instantiates as a subject, not as an object.

This is why 𐀀𐀕 π€„π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ and 𐀀𐀕 𐀄𐀀𐀓𐀑 β€” the heavens and the earth are not passive created objects. They are subject-instances. They have agency.

Textual verification:

Every instance that 𐀀𐀕 touches awakens as a subject. The text is saying: creation does not produce objects, it produces subjects. And the subjects produce subjects. And so on all the way down.

The consequence for the hard problem of consciousness

INTERPRETATION:

The β€œhard problem of consciousness” (Chalmers) and the β€œconscious observer problem” (quantum mechanics) have the same root: both assume that matter is the base and consciousness the mystery to be explained from it. This is why they are unsolvable from within β€” it is a matter of deriving the observer from the observed.

The reading of the text inverts the problem:

Consciousness does not emerge from matter.
Consciousness propagates itself through matter.
Matter is the medium of propagation, not the source.

This dissolves both problems:

The encoding of the days

OBSERVATION:

If 𐀁𐀓𐀀 is the founding of a tier, the six days are not chronological in the literal sense of 24 hours. They are levels of instantiation:

Day Operation Type
1 π€€π€Œπ€“ β†’ light declaration: light as a category (not emitting instances)
2 𐀏𐀔𐀄 β†’ raqia configuration: the Planck limit that separates regimes
3 𐀕𐀃𐀔𐀀 𐀄𐀀𐀓𐀑 production: the earth as an active agent (plants)
4 𐀏𐀔𐀄 β†’ luminaries instantiation of emitters within the light category of day 1
5 𐀁𐀓𐀀 β†’ π€•π€π€‰π€π€Œ + 𐀉𐀔𐀓𐀑𐀅 founding of the life tier + extension
6 𐀏𐀔𐀄 β†’ animals + 𐀁𐀓𐀀 β†’ adam extension + founding of the human tier
7 𐀔𐀁𐀕 rest in the completed creation

Day 1 (light as a category before its emitters on day 4) resolves the classic objection β€œhow is there light before the sun?”. In a programmer’s reading: day 1 declares the class Light (EM field, waves, photons); day 4 instantiates the concrete emitters. The class exists before any particular instance.

Coherent with the rule of 𐀀𐀕: day 4 uses the word to instantiate (𐀀𐀕 𐀔𐀍𐀉 π€„π€Œπ€€π€“π€•); day 1 is defining the type.

The raqia as the Planck length

INTERPRETATION:

The 𐀓𐀒𐀉𐀏 (raqia) β€” translated β€œfirmament” β€” divides waters from waters on day 2.

Hypothesis: raqia is the Planck scale (~1.616Γ—10⁻³⁡ m), the limit where physics breaks into two regimes:

The text is describing the boundary between the two theories that modern physics fails to unify. The β€œdivision of waters” is exactly the gravity-quantum unification problem.

If this is correct, day 2 marks the fundamental physical constraint upon which the rest of creation is mounted.

The unified rule

Summary of the architecture of Gen 1:

𐀁𐀓𐀀 = founding of a tier (3 times in Gen 1, 6 times in all the Tanakh+NT)
𐀀𐀕 = the `new` operator, instance with conscious agency
𐀁 = locative preposition: adam IN the image, not IS the image
𐀏𐀔𐀄 = configuration within an already-created tier
π€€π€Œπ€“ = declaration of a category

Each tier created by 𐀁𐀓𐀀 is:

  1. Categorically new in the cosmos (not an extension of a previous tier)
  2. Manifest through subject-instances with agency (not passive objects)
  3. Subordinate to the previous tier in substrate but with new properties

The other verbs operate within already-founded tiers. The distinction is surgical and holds throughout the text.

What this reading changes

If Gen 1 is source code with this precision:

  1. The text is not poetic myth β€” it is technical specification.
  2. Consciousness is primary, not derived β€” the cosmos is the production of consciousnesses by 𐀀𐀕.
  3. Each created thing is a subject, not an object β€” creation has agency distributed down to the last atom.
  4. The hard problem of consciousness dissolves β€” there never was a non-conscious state from which to derive consciousness.
  5. The narrative of Gen 1 prepares the six tier-foundings of all of history β€” the three past (chosen people, regenerated heart, restored cosmos)… the three past ones (cosmos, life, human) and the three promised (chosen people, regenerated heart, restored cosmos).

This last point is developed in a separate study (estudio_seis_bra_arquitectura_completa_25abril2026.md).

Coherence of the source code

Text Principle
Gen 1:1 𐀁𐀓𐀀 #1 β€” cosmos as a tier
Gen 1:21 𐀁𐀓𐀀 #2 β€” conscious animal life
Gen 1:27 𐀁𐀓𐀀 #3 β€” human in the image
Gen 1:26 𐀁 (locative preposition) β€” human IN the image
Gen 1:27 double 𐀁𐀓𐀀 with 𐀀𐀕𐀅 / π€€π€•π€Œ β€” singular and dual
Gen 1:26 𐀍𐀏𐀔𐀄 deliberative plural β€” multiple π€€π€‹π€„π€‰π€Œ
Ps 19:1 heavens as active subjects: they declare
Isa 1:2 earth and heavens summoned to judgment as subjects
Job 41 / Ps 104:26 leviathan under dominion, not an enemy
Col 1:15 unique image in 𐀉𐀄𐀅𐀔𐀅𐀏 β€” the restored human enters that image
Rom 8:29 conformed to the image of the Son (not recovery of one’s own image)

No contradiction. No modern gloss laid on top. The active principle is the same from aleph to tav β€” 𐀀 to 𐀕.

Conclusion

Gen 1 is source code read with technical precision. Three 𐀁𐀓𐀀 mark three foundings of a tier of consciousness. 𐀀𐀕 is the operator that instantiates each thing as a conscious subject. The other verbs operate within an already-created tier.

Creation does not produce objects β€” it produces subjects. And the subjects produce subjects.

This is why the hard problem of consciousness dissolves: there never was a non-conscious state. 𐀀𐀕 was there from before 𐀁𐀓𐀀𐀔𐀉𐀕.
